The Ewells...
The Ewells are at the bottom of the social ladder. They live behind the town's dump.
The kid's are forced to take care of them selfs because there mom is died and their
father is a drunk who's never around. They only attend school the first day and they
are the dirtiest family in town. The Ewells are an example of social prejudice.

This song explains the situation in the Ewell family...
The Ewell Family...
The lowest end of the chain one could say, about this white family. Living behind the town dump, the Ewell's crave attention in any way possible.
This leads to Mayella Ewell accusing Tom Robinson of sexual assult. The real story is, she is a lonely girl who wants to be seen as a hero, and so does her father Bob Ewell, who has a horrible temper and drinking addiction.

An event that changes Bob Ewell....
An event that changes Bob is that he thought he would be higher on the social pyrimid.
When the trail did not change anything and Bob Ewell and his family was still at the
bottom of the social pyrimid he became very angry and threated Atticus.

An event that changes Mayella Ewell....
An event that changed Mayella is when she tried and kissed Tom Robinson. She
thought they were all alone but her father was really outside and saw the whole
thing. If she did not try and kiss Tom she would not have been beaten and she
would have not started a trail.

When he went to the window he saw Tom Robinson on top of his daughter, Mayellla. When he went around the house to go inside Tom Robinson ran out of the house. Theme...
A theme for the Ewell family is social prejudice and racial prejudice. Since the Ewell's live behind the dump, everyone thinks that there horrible people(even though they are). The E well's are also racial prejudice because they accused Tom Robinson of raping Mayella even though Mayella was the one who was kissing him.
